BTW. Soundproofing doors was easy but stressful (popping off door cards=mega stress). Best £25 I've spent on the car so far. Doors feel solid when opening and closing. Road noise noticeably much reduced too.

The road noise on my wifes 1.8SE seems quite loud. We had 17" sport wheels fitted along with 225 tyres. Dose these wider tyres make a difference the road noise? If I am stationary in traffic I seem to be able to hear a lot noise from outside the car penetrating into the passenger compartment. Is this normal?
