After driving countless rental cars from various models both old and new for over 20 years, I finally (April 4) got my very own Honda Civic (Executive 1.8, pearl black, leather seats, satnav).
Now, I am not a car expert like many on this forum, and I'll never be. To be a car expert, you need knowledge (of cars), skill and patience. Sadly, I have none of these things.
A car for me is like a black box (insert joke about car color here): I only have a vague idea how it works and why. My car skills are limited to cleaning, and I don't have the patience to do it often: this nicely explains why I have neither skill nor patience.
A car is a thing that gets you from A to B. Period.
But since this is my first post, I have something to confess: I like driving the Civic! I find the experience much more enjoyable than with the other cars I've driven. This is, for me, quite unexpected.
But there's a first time for everything!
