[Ancient Nerd]

We had a couple of thunderstorms recently which showed up a significant leak, with water dripping from the trim behind the join between the upper and lower glass areas on the rear door. I had seen the problem before, but had put it down to drips when the boot was opened.

This is temporarily resolved by a tarpaulin in the boot with newspaper on top to soak up the puddles.

The problem is that there is a fault in the bonding between the two halves of the window, so the glass must be re-bonded. This means that I will need a courtesy car for three days (drop car in the day before, full day for the repair, collect car next day)

Apparently this is not the first Civic with this problem at my local dealer, so it looks like it may be another bit of poor quality control by Honda
