The EX has Auto Lights, not the ES.
The self-levelling feature of the
HID lights will adapt to changes in the cars suspension heights. Examples of this are when accelerating or braking, the systems responses are designed to keep the lights level with the plane of the road. It also compensates for a heavy load over the rear axle, by directing the beam downwards slightly. It does not adapt to the car being on a hill for example. It doesn't know it's on a hill, the system only analyses the cars attitude about the lateral axis by measuring the front and rear suspension travel. In comparing the two values it can then make a decision and adjust the aiming either up or down.
