A CDTi - band C @ 135 g/km against a Type R - band F @ 205 g/km is a difference of 80 g/km. Doing an annual 12,000 miles (19,312 km) gives an annual co2 kg output difference of 80g x 19312 km /1000 = 1544 kg of co2 emmissions.
On the carbon offset site( http://www.co2balance.com/pages.php?pageid=109 ) this can be offset at a cost of at £13.50
so why is the difference between band C and band F = £90???
Ok a bit simplistic , but does it show how us motorists are being ripped off?

Yes we are all being ripped off in the name of 'global warming'
