Civinfo - View Single Post - Fitting Type S front and rear skirt to 5 Door

Hi guys, This is something i have been seriously looking into and recently spent some time at the local dealers with the very helpful parts guy....went through with him and got all the parts prices required to put the S trims on the 5 door and was expecting it to be a fortune when you consider the Grand Prix kit costs over £1000 pounds for less parts. Was very pleasantly suprised to find the quote came to just over £500...... So once funds available, will be ordering the parts and making a 5 door S!!!! only thing i have to go back and check is whether the front of the rear arch section to side skirt fixing points are the same as the rear arch on the 5 door goes all the way down to the skirt but the skirt on the S goes up at the end so the S rear arch is shorter at the front if that makes any sense!!!!!

Other stumbling block will be wheels as the S arches are wider at the rear to accomodate the wider rear track so not sure the standard 16inch SE alloys would look right!!!

Wil keep you posted and if all goes well (funds wise) will post some pics of the finished project.
