I don't think anyone is suggesting that seat belts shouldn't be worn.

however - do I personally put my seat belt on just because some bleepy thing is annoying me? No
Have I ever had a bleepy thing before? No
Have I ever (and I mean ever) driven anywhere without my belt on? No
Even before it was illegal? No
Is not having a bleepy thing going to make me foget to put my belt on? No

Am I above the age of consent? Yes

Yes - for those people who are in the habbit of forgetting to put their belt on, it's a boon.

For me - it's a bit like the alarm clock that is kept next to the bed.
On the day when I'm that tired, I will ignore it and oversleep anyway - a bleepy noise isn't going to make any difference.
