I have a really mixed commute in to work 45miles of motorway and 13miles of town and get 48mpg regularly. If I am late not so much

. However the adage is true stick your crusie on at 72-74mph(sat nav says 70mph!) on the motorway and 50+ is easy in the 2.2. as is 38mpg when lead footing

.
20,000 miles since the 7th of june 06 and the economy just gets better... One thing of note with my car is it seems to prefer my use of the turbo's natural range rather than revving the bolts of it. Changing gear at about 3,500 always seems to allow for a bit of hustle and not so much drinking of the black stuff...
