Well here's an example of how good the economy of the diesel can get: I was playing around with the trip computer the other day on the way home from work, and accidentally reset Trip A, the one I have set to reset automatically on refuelling. I was on a single-carriageway road, doing between 40 and 50mph behind lorries. By the time I got home some 10 miles later, the computer was showing 63.7mpg. I do keep my own records of fuel economy and I find the computer is only a couple of miles out either way.
