And I should know about these things. To de-tango the headlights on my Bugeyed Impreza, you had to remove the headlight assembly and place it in the oven and cook it to soften the sealant enough to break open the unit.
Many an Impreza headlight unit melted in an oven because the instructions were in Fahrenheit and people dialled up the temp in Centigrade (not good for the plastic  ) |

- hey ho, so much for a cheap fix
still - probably just as well.
I might have saved a few quid on the lenses, but it would have cost me mucho when wife found them in the oven...
