The Civic went to the dealer today, the factory engineers have replaced both struts (better than I had hoped for), they also modified the new units by using some kind of adhesive to fix the bump stops to the top of the struts.

I guess that they are trying out some kind of fix as it would seem that there are are a few people having problems with this fault, perhaps it might be worth adding it to the thing to look for when buying/taking delivery.

A big WELL DONE to Fish Brothers Honda in Swindon, they phoned me Tuesday to ask if I could bring the car in today Tuesday, I said no as I had an important meeting, they managed to find a new Jazz loan car at one days notice got my car in all work done by 4:00pm. Excellent service and with a smile. Many thanks guys and gals if you ever read this.
