Don't forget that the facelifted model might not be as good as the previous model.
The previous model Civic went through a small makeover during it's life and they added some odd looking headlights and even odder looking reflectors in the rear bumper.
And don't forget the Subaru Impreza, a glorious car that was ruined, looks wise with a facelift. Although the bugeyed model was great to drive, it was a nightmare to sell because it was so ugly nobody wanted to buy one.
