Let me say that I could buy the new Civic 1.8, but I did my choice, I also tested an Accord cdti, but I did my choice. The cars in Portugal are have a big addition with taxs and cars less musculed are not so expensive.
Anyway, I still can have 115hp when I need, I had 110hp with my old Civic and it was ok.

You are maybe right about 140hp and I don't now the cost to replace the batteries, but Honda told me that these new battery set is not be replaced, these are not like the previous IMA or Toyota Prius.

About the costs to recycle you are joking, of course. What about the cost with CO2 every single day? What about the cost to "recycle" the nuclear product to create your electric energy? Are you worried with that aswell?
