ok it's not that direct like the old system (without dbw) but I can tell you that the 1.8 petrol has one of the fastest dbw I have ever driven.
(as part of my job) I have driven a lot of cars and 98% precent of them have ***** pedal responses compared to the Civ.
(for ex. Vauxhalls there is no throttle response at all!

other cars response is very very very slow, the Civ responses very well in some cases too good, then it jerks a bit but if you drive it smoothly there's no problem at all!
