The Honda Ipod link may be limited with playlists, but 7 playlists of 99 tracks each is over 690 tracks.
The cost I cannot comment on as I got mine thrown in when buying a 'Honda direct' used car, but the quality is excellent and control from the steering wheel is great and as it is all hidden away in the little locker on the dash, there is no worries when parking unlike my previous car where through an Aux socket, and through control from the Ipod, the Ipod was left on display. You can also using 'disc 8' random play your complete Ipod.
