Didn't go there. We checked out the national museum instead. A bit disappointing after the British Museum, but it had it's highlights. Perhaps should have gone to see the art instead. Maybe next time.

The nearby Matyas Church is also a major attraction. The Parliament building across the Danube on the Pest bank is also worth a look.

Saw both of those. The church was being renovated and there wasn't much to see on the outside, and after that we didn't feel like going in either.
The Parliament building was stunning, especially as the sun was setting.

Also worthwhile is a trip on the quaint underground our to Heroes' Square, deep in Pest, and if you can handle it in the heat, a hike up the massive Gellert Hill in Buda for a walk round the Citadel and stunning views across the city.

Oh and I saw a Type-S while we were there. They're not sold here for some reason.
Maybe it was our taxi driver, but the traffic in Budapest seemed at times worse than Bangkok...
