In my job I'm just leaving, I opted out of the scheme and bought the Civic, as it worked out cheaper in the long run. They have a lease scheme where you can have pretty much anything, and it would have meant me having to pay a fair bit of money on top for the Civic. In hindsight, this might not have been the best choice, as the Civic values have dropped more than I expected, however I wanted a Civic, and my loss is someone elses gain. Also when I bought the Civic, there was very little discount available from ther dealers, due to demand, whereas buying one now, I'm sure I could have saved a bit of cash and negotiated a better price.
In my new job, I'm getting an Audi A6! I could have had the Civic, but when they offered me the Audi, even though it will cost a fair bit more in tax every month, I couldn't really say no...
