After shutting down the engine, and restarting, I went for at least another 15 min drive without the warning coming on. So shutting of the engine makes the error go away for sure (even if I don't feel it up with oil).

I know the stick-check works best on a cold engine. So I checked that the first morning after I had the error for the first time.

I'll have another check this afternoon when I go home to work. Like I said it happened to me twice in 1 week. If it happens 1 more time, I'm visiting the dealer for a 2nd opinion.
