Can´t possibly imagine that there is a rear-biased brake set-up on any road car.

Could it be the VSA doing its stuff?
That´s my only thought.

If you can jack the car up - check if the rear wheels rotate smoothly with little resistace. If they don´t the rear brakes are probably "on".
