I am at the 'research' stage of my 2006/2007/2008...2023 Civic. Either way i will get one as I have only driven Hondas for the last five years and can't find anything else which feels as precise. Some parts of my 2003 Civic are a little plasticky and the engine is nothing special to look at but it is cheap to run, spacious, well equipped and is a nice drive too. I have never seen so much negativity about a model as I have for the 2006 Civic. Is it really that bad? I'm joining the Finns (namely iittala) in the againstthrowawayism campaign to keep things for as long as they remain serviceable.

All things considered, are you happy with your new Civic.
I'd also be interested in how many people would recommend a Honda, I have to many friends and so far they are all happy!
Would you buy another one when you are ready to change.

Having just come back from Finland i was surprised to see as many Civics as I did, even in a small town like Kokkola! Why do people there drive around the town showing off their cars? There was a guy in black pontiac who drove past me eight times in two hours! closely followed by a red 2006 Civic!
