It seems ages since I started this thread but have at last got my Civic back. Briefly, they changed the
VSA/
ABS control unit but it still showed as a fault.
HUK also got involved and having tried all the usual tests decided that the engine wiring harness was at fault. They had a little difficulty in obtaining a replacement but eventually it was changed and was ready on 3rd August but for personal reasons I was unable to collect the car until this Saturday 11th. The car had been throroughly cleaned and topped up with fuel and we negotiated the spare wheel kit as compensation for the delay and frustration. I suppose I could have tried for more but was happy with the outcome and my wife and I left on happy terms with the dealers. So should anyone get the same problem then my experience may help. Having had the use of a *normal* automatic Jazz for the past weeks we have now to readjust to the Civic. I have put a question about recalls on the Online Recall and Updates thread and would appreciate your views.
