Hello,

I'm just in the process of shopping around to replace my Rover 45TD (no sniggering at the back there!

) and the Civic has caught my eye. I'm considering the SE spec, but unsure of whether or not to go for the 1.8 or 2.2 diesel. The next step will be a test drive to decide between the two. So I will be doing lots of reading and trying to get as much info as possible to see if the Civic is a good way to go.

One thing that does concern me is reports of problems with the first models. Which have found that it hasn't reached the usual high standards we have come to expect from Honda, so any comments will be much appreciated.
