The interior is nice but the exterior is ugly from all parts. They f***ed it up from all angles. It was aggressive from the front now its like a stu**d thing especially the rear. and the most I love from the 8th gen is the front bonnet and bumpers that are very similar to the s2000 cause are very wide. The new one made the bonnet wider and the mudguards flat. NONONONONO. do not like sorry Honda you are disappointing

So Honda have another Marmite car on their hands
![]() Do you know what as a package it works. Obviously the starting block has been the 8th Gen and they have tweaked it. Looks to me that the interior and perhaps the rest of it as well have been given a good going over. A classier motor 7/10

Sums it up in my opinion,Would rather have an FD2 or an FN2 anyday Quote:
its definately a step back in design terms in my view, when the 8th Gen was released it was radical, when i first set eyes on it i new it was the car i wanted, yearned for. even in base form the 8th gen is a head turner, i was impressed with the whole package and went on to buy an FN2 even with the niggles ive had from both cars along the way. now after seeing the pics of the 9th Gen i think Honda have accepted that they are no longer the market leading company they once were As for not introducing a new sports version of some sort, well i think they will see a drop in sales like a lead balloon, like it or not, the R has a cult following and is a market that a brand like Honda should be exploiting, every other manufacturer has managed to produce a hot hatch to meet the green brigades standards (well acceptable maybe )I for one will be sticking to my FN2, and when it comes round to replacing it, if its going to be a Honda it certainly wont be this 9th generation of the Civic. Hugely disappointed isnt close to what i think ![]() ![]() ![]() who sacked the 8th gen designer, cos you better get them back to sort out the 10th gen if youve still got a factory to make them in by thenP.S inside looks ok |

Hmm not sure, looks ok, better than a lot of other cars out there. Inside looks ok, and the front can always be colour coded to match the rest of the car.
Guess it depends on the engine performance, lets hope 0-62 hasn't reached double figures. I'll wait until march before I commit, but it is going to be this or possibly a seat leon |

I kinda like it...
For the more "sporty" gentlemen among us, I've tuned it a bit (more colours, lowering & boot spoiler)... and oh yeah, I colour coded the wheel arches too |

I think they got the balance just right -- the new car is different enough to appear new (just!) and, I have to admit, I do like it. At the same time (and this is the stroke of genius, IMO) it does not date the 8th gen model in any way, which still looks futuristic!

The longer I watch, the more I like. It is very Japanese. And look the CMBS, acc and electric seat from AE video.

i'll pass on this one thanks.
disappointing bits & bobs: -where the heck did the TRIANGLES go? handles, exhaust, fog lights... -bmw-style antenna & rear wiper... -alloys, fugly! -the new steering wheel is AGES beyond our current one in terms of design and personality (like 99% of the rest of the car)! i guess the marketing plan may be, as happened to the 8th gen, to release a sportier (type s?) version later on, but I think that too many details are screwed beyond repair. really man, the whole triangle (and more in general this extended mutilation of personality) thingy is such a pity... |
