Think I'm the only one who likes this lol. I think it looks a lot better put together than the styling of the 9 th gen. Everything kinda 'flows' better rather than everything looking like its stuck on which imo the 9 th gen does.
Granted its not the best looking car in the world but personally I think its alright. Plus the old auris was just a run of the mill hatch therefore its not got as much to prove as the 9 th gen civic |

Kremmen, looking at the photo of the interior this one has a standard hand brake (assuming it it's not a collective and the car doubles as a helicopter).

Just like Honda I think they should swap the positions of the air vents and the SatNav. SatNav would be easier to 'glance read' and does it matter if the vents are a few inches lower? |

Kremmen agreed! The Satnav screen should be seen increasingly as a key instrument and able to be read at a glance - far too many are too low or not in a visual arc which encompasses a drivers natural line of sight. Bad "Human Factors" in the design and something that all car manufacturers should be addressing.

I think they do think about this stuff all the time. They just don't always come to the same conclusions as everyone else.

it looks already outdated...focus on the digital clock...looks like a hyundai pony one back in the early 90's! And the air vents...look like a late 80's nissan bluebird.
The dashboard is good though.... |

The other thing to note is the very high number of recalls Toyota have had recently, some of them quite dangerous items as well.

I know I'm biased because I own one, but seriously, how can you say this new Auris is a better design than the 9th Gen...

Looks OK to me
Whilst its not a car I would consider, its going to be very reliable and is innovative in its design |

It works as an overall design. It looks quite agressive. The Civic has the awkward bit of plastic between the lights and the grill.
