As I'm 17 this sounds costly but it's something that I'd like to do big time, as one of my friends has an 06 corsa 1.8 sri and has whacked and exhaust on that, leaving his car slighty fast ( he has the weight advantage), so i'm willing to do what it takes to make mine faster
The Milltek system doesn't pop or bang, it gives a great raspy note higher in the rev range but usually the best way to get popping is to remove the cat, which would then help with getting unburnt fuel onto the hot exhaust. Doing this however, means replacing the exhaust manifold and will be costly.

The Milltek system is non-resonated, which means it only has one silencer, so it is the noisier version. There is louder systems available, listed for the Type R which can be used with our front pipe kit, but we don't supply them i'm sorry.

I hope this makes sense, let me know what you think.

Rich

Whilst i'm sure that somewhere a 1.8 owner fitted with a Milltek has some sound clips or video footage the sales of these 1.8 front pipe kits have been so dissapointing (just 7 sections in over 18 months ) that questions are being asked about the viability of Milltek continuing to offer these sections....

Milltek demand minimum sales for all items and so far these 1.8 front pipe kits aren't reaching the qualifying targets so there is a very real chance that they will be discontinued. To give you an idea we sell over 70 Milltek Type R cat-back systems per year.

It seems strange that up until the point at which they actually became available to buy every other owner claimed they desperately needed in their lives but only 7 owners have actually purchased....?

Price wise our £149 including VAT is 20% cheaper than Milltek's RRP on these sections but still nobody buys.

We have 3 kits left in stock and at this time I can't offer any gaurantee there will be any more in the future.

Those sitting on the fence need to take the plunge or risk missing out...

Chris

the real sound of your exhaust will available only after some "running in" period

but of course you should post your clip asap!

Hi!

NO you do not need anything else to fit this system to your car as it is only cat back and leaves the cat in place.

Dave.

I've got 2 kits left in stock. Were you thinking of twinning it with the Milltek non-res system too, for the ultimate Type R noise?

You'll have to wait until you have the whole system I'm afraid, as the front pipe changes the layout completely.
Speak to you Friday Rich
