For you 1.8 owners it might be an idea to just buy the front section the wait for a second hand Milltek to appear on the forum, as theyre stainless even second hand ones will still be high quality...

Am I right in thinking that if a 1.8 owner buys the front section they could fit something else to the back like toda etc?? Toda 1.8 would be a stunner!!

Never looked at this way Alex but I guess if a 1.8 owner bought the Milltek front sections then any TYPE R cat-back would fit on so yes a Toda, Milltek.......

So I would just need this bit

Milltek Sport front pipe assembly (2 sections) @ £149 inc vat

Then in theory I could add any exhaust that fits the fn2 to my 1.8?

In theory! I reckon the HKS with those fantastic tailpipes are a go-er on a 1.8 that would be very cool (ABP can supply the HKS too)

Maybe not the HKS system as i'm pretty sure the triangles on the 1.8 are smaller than the triangles on the Type R? If they are different sizes the HKS trims wouldn't fit.

Don't shoot me if im wrong!

IF the Type S 3 door is the same then game on BUT only IF it is the same and I can't guarantee that.

Certainly the 5 door cars have smaller cut-outs which rule out the HKS.

Best option would be to buy the whole system as developed and designed by Milltek as they are brilliant!

Well, I hope that ABP realise what they have started !

If just buying / fitting the Milltek custom front pipes for the 1.8, basically allows (clearances notwithstanding) any exhaust developed for the Type R to be installed, then WOW !!!

A whole world of 1.8 exhaust possibilities has just opened up - having said that, after watching / listening to the Milltek videos and reading independent reviews, I guess I'm going to enjoy the full Milltek system that I have ordered
