Hi,

I need to book my car in for a front and rear wheel alignment sometime next month. I'll also need to have some new tyres fitted. Do you have the facility to fit and balance the tyres whilst I'm there (I'll be supplying the tyres) and if so, at what cost please?

Cheers.

Sorry for the delay in my reply Dan, i saw your post the other day and never got round to replying. Sorry

We can fit any tyre up to 24", so that's no problem. Yours will be 18" I presume? If so, £16.50 and that's fitted and balanced using stick-on, non-corrosive weights.

Let me know when you're ready and we'll get your car booked in.

Rich

Thanks for getting back to me Rich.

The tyres are 225/45/17. So £66 all in?

Thanks again,
Dan.

Hi Rich,

Having recently bought a slightly leggy car (104k, CDTi) I've decided to bite the bullet and get the slightly knocking and vague feeling suspension sorted out.

As before, I'm going to want the suspension aligning properly, but I'm wanting to replace the dampers (all 4) and top mounts too.

I'll be replacing with standard parts which I will probably supply myself (unless you can offer a competitive price on OE dampers and top mounts, of course) and will be reusing the original springs.

Are you able to offer a labour quote to fit the new top mounts and dampers, and have the alignment/geometry carried out at the same time please?

Apologies for the seemingly never ending thread.

Thanks again,
Dan.

That's not leggy! There's plenty of life left in it yet

Labour-wise, we'd be looking at 4 hours to replace all the suspension components and set the geometry. Total would be £240.00 inc VAT.

If you PM me your reg, I'll see what I can find in the way of replacement shocks and let you know some costs?

Rich

Sorry Rob, we're one of a kind

We're based just south of Manchester, I'd guess around 3 hours to get to us by car.

Big thanks to Rich and the other guys at ABP!

What would you guys usually quote for labour costs to swap the springs around and just a regular geo set up?

We could do the springs and rest the standard geo, not using the camber bolts etc for just £200.00 inc VAT. That's a discounted cost, in line with our Christmas offers. (although there is no specific offer for standard geo and suspension work)

We are doing offers when FRS and springs are purchased together though, which gives big savings. See here: Xmas offers 2015

Hope this helps, let me know if i can help with anything else
