Not so 'Swiftcover'
I'd warn anyone considering insuring their car with Swiftcover to be careful.
After insuring all 4 of our family cars with them, due to consistently low quotes, the proof of the pudding came with the first claim. They lost all details of the claim after 10 days (9 days after they'd been sent a quote and photos by the repairer) and I had to start the claim process all over again. They still tell me it will be a further 15 to 20 working days before they will be able to approve the claim, and that's 18 days after the claim was first submitted. They rarely answer emails, you never get to talk to the same person twice, and it takes many minutes (often 20 or more) to get through on the phone. I now find the internet review sites have numerous accounts of similar poor service from Swiftcover. Most people seem to find Tesco are good and almost as cheap. |

My local insurance agent deals with lots of big (and some not so big) names and offers cover that is competitive with Internet sites, and when someone drove into the back of me, they handled everything.
I would strongly recommend looking at such a service, and you may be pleasantly surprised at the price. |

It's like everything else - you gets what ya pays for.
There are plenty of so called insurance companies out there that will give you a nice cheap cover note to keep Mr Plod happy but don't try claiming. |

Well well well !!!
The problem now seems to be sorted. After sending an email to the 'What Car' help desk summarising the problem, and copying it to Swiftcover, I had an immediate call on my mobile from their claims manager. He informed me that the repairs would be authorised this afternoon. The power of the internet |
