Send A letter to "Company House" in central London, explaining to them, that the ltd company has never traded since purchase and it will remain stagnant.
They should send you a letter, which will keep the Inland Revenue happy.

It's Companies House, and it's in Cardiff....

You can fill in a DCA form for companies which are dormant and have never traded.

Well, shows you how long ago I bought a Company, must have been best part of 18 -20 years ago now.
When did the b-ggers move then Essexboy.

P.S. "Er Indoors" has just done a check. They still have a place up in "The Smoke".

Sorry got off the subject a bit.... back to your problem -

All companies, dormant or not, must complete an annual return every year. The form should be fairly straight forward to complete as the company hasn't done anything!

Additionally every company must file accounts every year. You've got until 10 months after your year-end to file them (assuming you've got an Ltd and not a PLC)

As your company is dormant you've got a choice -

You could file a set of dormant company accounts
Or you could send in a Dormant Company Accounts form (DCA)

DCA is the route I'd take, PM or email me if you've got any questions....

Must be pretty straightforward then, as my accountant has never charged me mate and he usually bills me down to the last 2nd class stamp.

There is a company house in Cardiff, Edinburgh and London.

I deal with my local office which is Edinburgh.

Hahahaha! All clients say that!

They're all convinced we charge them a fortune, never do anything without billing them, generally screw them over....

If only it were TRUE!!!!
