Chief Sitting Bull

Chief Sitting Bull was happily puffing on a pipe of peace, in his tepee, when the County Sheriff popped in for a chat.

“Hi ya Chief”, said the Sheriff, “We have decided to build an extension to the Interstate Highway that skirts the edge of your reservation and it seems as though it will go right through where all your tepee’s are now positioned. I would suggest that you and your tribe should move just one mile north of here and re-locate there.”

“Me no move!” came the reply from the Chief.

“Don’t be too hasty Chief”, said the Sheriff, “That new reservation has rivers, lakes and plenty of buffalo for hunting.”

“Me no move!” came the reply from the Chief.

“Think about it Chief, talk it over with your tribal elders, and when you’re happy, come and see me in my office in the County Hall, on the first floor, at the end of the corridor.”

“Me no move!” came the reply from the Chief.

“See you in a week!”, and then the Sheriff left.

A week later the Chief went to the County Hall, he went to the first floor, but he went to the wrong end of the corridor!

Knock, knock on the door.

“Come in”, said the doctor from his desk in the surgery, “How can I help you?”

“Me no move!” came the reply from the Chief.

“That’s no problem Chief, “We often get that problem around these here parts, I’ll give you a prescription for some Ex-Lax, that should do the trick. If you are still having trouble pop back and see me again next week”.

The next week the Chief returned, “Me no move!”.

“Oh dear”, replied the Doc, “I’ll double the dose. Here take this and I hope it works this time.”

A week later,” “Me still no move!”.

The doc was puzzled, “I’ll give you some medicine that should really only be administered in Hospital, but I think this case demands some earlier attention. Lets hope this works or I will have to arrange to admit you to hospital for possible surgery.”

The next day the Chief sees the Doc,” Me decided me move, tepee full of sh*t!”
