I need to rant.....

Ok, I need a rant.

Is this country falling to pieces or what?

Cost of everything is through the roof.

Not many can afford to buy the luxuries like they did because of the great over spend and because everything is going up.

Tax, tax, tax...on average it is not until June of an average year that you actually start to earn some money, thats half a years wages paying tax.

Fuel, don't get me started on that.

I've got to find an extra £500 this month to pay for council tax, water sewage, water, gas and electric bills.
Great, I'll just pop down to the bottom of the garden and pluck some cash of my money tree.
£500 quid, for what!!!! So I can have a drink and wash, take a dump, heat my house and cook, and run my electrical goods.
Forget it, if you see a smelly, thirsty, bloated(windy), cold, hungry man wandering around looking for a lonely free power socket in your area it could be me!

Oh and to top it off whilst looking in a free paper which was put through my front door, I found in the job section advertisements, I can only imagine for workers as I could not read it as it was in Polish.
I am all for a Britain with some varied cultures, don't get me wrong, but when you read the local free rag you don't expect to see pages of to many unreadable material.
So not even the free papers are safe from the world domination to take over britain from the British.

Great Britain, where is the 'Great' in that?

Rant over, thanks for listening

Tough, aint it! I've just received a £31.80 a month rise in my pension from the government, now what shall I spend it on? Oh, and that one-off extra heating allowance of £50 . Blimey, I'm rolling it in!!

Some Tory voters being swayed to vote Liberal let this bunch in so let's not make the same mistake again!! When I was coming up to vote at the tender age of 21 in 1963 my old grandad said 'Son, never vote Labour. All they know is tax, tax, tax!'.

Problem is that every Tory voter that votes Liberal is splitting the vote and is in fact creating a vote for the Labour mob, bigger problem is that they can`t see what they are doing.
P:S Enjoy your heating allowance but enjoy your Spaceship more

Dead right and that's exactly what I was saying. Labour voters stayed with their vote but a lot of Tories were swayed to vote Liberal; if only they'd stayed loyal to to the Tory party!!

Pumatron, I was quite happy when I got out of bed this morning; then I read your thread!! Ooh, I don't believe it!!

PS: If it wasn't raining I'd take my highly polished spaceship out for a ride.

PPS: Why do they increase the rate of duty on beer, fags and petrol every time 'to keep pace with inflation' when every time there's a price increase by the manufacturer they receive more revenue anyway, which is in line with the inflation on that product?

I don't mean to drag you down with my misery with 'Great' Britain, but the reality is we are all in the same boat, it's just so annoying that we all sit there and do nothing about it......oh no I'm off on one again...........sorry.

That's because the suppliers always increase their prices so that it's hidden by the duty hike, and, of course, the extra VAT! Barstewards!!

Election time is when we can do something...!!

And; if you voted Labour or Liberal last time, or didn't bother to vote, then you have no complaint.

This country is dead, I'm doing my studies then going afaap.

I'm honestly no racist (any of my mates can back me up ), but when you go to Tesco's and you can't read what something is, because it's in Polish, Czech, Slovakian, or Hungarian, then what's it coming too. We live in a society hampered by the government, subjugated by a fascist foreign power (The EU) and filled to bursting with trash (All people I mean not just migrants). I don't like anyone who doesn't work for no reason, especially when people are in debt from council tax, when they work two jobs and get 15 pounds more than unnemployed people, who then get their tax subsidised! How's that fair??????? Unnemployed????? When was the last time, you didn't see a McDonalds or Burger King or KFC advertising for staff, jobs are there if you want them, AFAIC if your unnemployed for more than X amount of time, you have a job allocated to you! I have no problem with people wanting to come and work here, if they do that Work! But they should blend with the community at large not create mini gettos and lands within us, take Bradford for example, now Termed Bradistan, this insular idea, and the retaining of foreign ways is not the way to integrate, and is the root of many problems. My GF's parents spoke no English (or at least little) when they came to Britain in the 60/70s, however they have so far learnt English, set up their own restaurant and put 3 daughters through university, pretty damn good I think, if only more Brit's were that determined.

Paper yesterday read: 15 year old sentenced for stamping to death 20 year old girl, because she was different, what is this nation coming too????????? He couldn't be named to protect his identity, his human rights well what about the girl he killed??? What about her human rights. Same with Carr, boob job cos she's depressed?????? She should be!, she should also be given a bag of Razors, three dozen bottles of ibuprofen and some lengths of rope!

I love my country dearly, and still sing Rule Britannia and God save the Queen, but sadly this is now just a misnoma, the country is not great, nor Britain anymore, the whole country is now just "The Great (Big) British Insane Asylum & Waste Dump PLC.".

I'll end my rant now, before I go too far, but sadly I shall say this it doesn't matter who you vote for, they are all the same, they all lie and cheat (at least something remains true), they all think more for themselves than the common man.

Tom

Allan, just for you, the government spends millions of pounds advising people to wrap up warm, and put on a Cardigan if your cold (then gives you 50 quid for heating?!?!?!?!?!), when they could spend the money they spent on the posters the leaflets etc. etc. on free heating for the elderly etc. Now where the sense in that?

BTW Allan, I voted Conservative last time, but might vote BNP next, just for a laugh.....hmmmmmm. They are after all the same, we need a revolution for the people, to retake the country and the government (Who needs tanks!, We have Space ships )

Now I was thinking along those lines....but the reality is that we must get this lot of 'Keep the Red Flag Flying', out first!

So have a cheap night in with a DVD and a bottle of wine from the supermarket...

Oh hang on! Better be quick before they put the extra tax on supermarket booze to stop the 15yr old chavs from buying it (like thats gonna work)

Better still stay in with a glass of water and listen to the Archers on the radio (thats providing you've paid your ever increasing water rates) and keep a few jumpers on, that heating costs money

I think we can blame the Yanks for a lot of the problems.
The rise in the price of oil is linked to G.W. Bush going to war in Iraq, so his mates in the oil industry could make a lot more money from the black stuff.
The war has also destabilised the relationships between the West and Russia, so gas prices have risen because of doubts about the supply.
Lax lending and greedy yanks have brought the money markets to their knees with the 'sub-prime' fiasco.

If we all nuke the yanks, do you think all the problems would go away

You should stop reading the bulls**t in the Daily Express and Daily Mail, that would calm you down a bit.

Sadly, there are immigrants who are lazy gits, like there are Brits who are lazy gits. There are thieving immigrants, there are thieving Brits. Many Eastern Europeans come here to work, and they work bloody hard. Doing the types of jobs that British people seem to have given up wanting to do, like train cleaners and platform staff. Some of the most conscientious and competent staff we have are from Russia, whilst some of the thickest people that we employ were born and bred in the Crawley area (sorry to any Crawley residents, but there are some real knuckle dragger's around the area).

As for leaving the country, I expect most people can find problems with their own country. I love Norway, and would dearly love to live there, but I expect that they have there own problems. FWH has already indicated that Sweden isn't without it's problems.

The grass is always greener the other side of the fence. Maybe, maybe not.

I am very unhappy with this thread. The CivInfo website should be primarily about the Honda Civic and not about some pretty lurid political views. Could we just drop it please?

Anthony.
