Gran Turismo Prologue on PS3

Anyone got it? If so fancy a burn sometime in the next couple of weeks? Bit disappointed that the Integra is there but no new shaped Civic. Graphics and game play are awesome.

Also is anyone out there still playing Motorstorm or R:FOM?

Almost got it last week, the nephew bought it for £18 and I was like "What? It's brand new, how the hell you pay £18 for it?" Then when the wife phoned Gamestation for stock info, the nice guy there informed her, it is only 6 tracks and not the full game, as that is not out for another year yet. So I thought stuff that, £18 for half a dozen tracks that will no doubt be on the full version anyway....I will wait.

Had a bash on the nephews (a Ford nut) though and it does look smart, even managed to trounce him in his ST with my Integra, on my first ever three laps ! Long live the Honda. Hope the CTR is in the full game.

I have been playing gt5P a silly amount of time with my new G25 steering wheel. It has made the game 500% more enjoyable. I refuse to play with the pad ever again!

It has a realistic 2 1/2 lock to lock (unlike most "toy" wheels which can only go 1/4 of a turn in eather direction), properly weighted gas, brake and clutch pedals, and a manual 6 speed gear box!

Look at this guy using his

I haven't played online yet, and I haven't even looked at my other games since I have been playing this!

I was a bit sceptical as to the speed of play in GT5P but after working my way through the lame cars and getting the F430 I have to say it is really an amazing game. For £25 it is well worth it. The online play is pretty good but I prefer to challenge for fastest laps in the leaderboard.

I know, it's a lot to justify, but well worth it when you get it set up.
My favorite thing to do with this game now is to get a descent car, preferably a RWD sports car with a lot of power, turn the steering setting from 'amatuer' or 'professional' to 'simulation', change the driving physics from 'standard' to 'professional' and turn off all driving aids such as ASM (VSA for us Civic owners) and TC.
Go to a very technical course like Suzuka and post a good time, the feeling of accomplishment is amazing. Get your braking point slightly wrong, turn to aggresivley or shift the wieght around too quicky, and you are just a passenger!

I am also loving the London circuit. Blasting at 150mph along Shaftsbury Avenue, a sharp right onto Charing Cross Road, down round Trafalgar Square, up Cockspur and onto Haymarket, then a sharp left/right to get onto Regent Street. Past Picardilly Circus and Back onto Shaftsbury Ave. Fantastic. Every single shop and road marking reproduced amazingly. I only just noticed that there are 'repairs' of new tarmac where all the traffic islands should be.

Why the hell am I typing all this, I could be driving my DB9 now!

Anyone posted any top 100 times to get on the online leaderboard?

Can't see any way online to do private races....

Perhaps the only way is to join the same online race and look for each other's names

The Mrs is away until Wednesday, so I'll be online tonight!!!!!

Ive got a collection of Suzukis (to do the first level), an M3, an Integra, Focus ST, 05 Golf GTi, Evo IX & X (IX needed to complete a stage on the first level).

Can't believe they missed out such a fundamental feature. Will have to wait until the next update.

I will be online tonight from 9 pm playing R:FOM as I can play with friends on that. Anyone who wants to join me PM me your online ID.

I've got a decent time for the F430 on 'Eiger Norwand Forward' Professional setting. I managed to get to 9th but had slipped to 10th last night. It's like driving in ice! Sooooo Hard! I hope these leaderboard scores don't reset every week like they did with GT HD.

Hi guys. Will try adding those of you who've given out their PSN IDs this weekend. I've got GT5p & the Logitech Driving Force EX wheel, couldn't justify the cost of the G25. I'm also into playing Ridge Racer 7, Call Of Duty 4, Everybody's Golf World Tour & Resistence FoM online. Was really into GT5p but Everybody's Golf as kinda taken over from it, so calm & chilled compared to most online games. If anyone wants to add me my ID is rSp8, please write Civinfo in the message so I know who you are

I picked up my 60Gb PS3 from Game yesterday...

Just finished Class C, now need to build some moeny up to get some decent cars

Racing the suzuki and dihatsu - I fell asleep at one point
good for learning how not to use the brakes though

Rob - I too am finding it hard to justify GT25 sort of money - is the EX any good?

Bungle (and Fuzion or anyone else who has a GT25) - it obviously looks like a great bit of kit - but is it really as noisy on the pedals as in some of the UTube links?
If I'm playing at night I don't really want to wake the whole house up!

General PS3 question (sorry!) - Mine runs quite loud - I thought they were supposed to be almost silent?
Would one of those fan things on the back help?

cheers!

PS - PSN ID is the same as my logon in here
