I'd install SpyBot Search and destroy. Install then update it, then reboot your pc in safe mode (restart, when starting windows appears, press f8. It will boot up with no drivers or network connection (screen might look strange) then select the administrator account then run Search and Destroy.

Should clear anything which shouldn't be there!

I use a combination of Firefox, Spybot and CCleaner - no pop-ups (touch wood).
The CCleaner can cause a bit labour, as it also (as LNT says) delete all cookies (my chosen setting), bur I find that's a low price to pay.

Robbo - go to a site called PC Pitstop: Free PC Diagnostics, computer help and Tuneups , register and run one of the scans online. then go onto the forums and download the newest version of hijack this. follow the instructions on the forum, post your report and one of the techies will advise you what to do. I have used the site countless times to sort things out and they have been amazing in their level of help - never failed yet.

Sounds like you have some malware installed on there. It's a nightmare to get rid as the replicate themselves I would go with the sysinternals stuff as it will show you whats running and then you can nobble them one at a time

or wipe and rebuild then bolt it to the 9's before going back online

... or in other words, what you are trying to say is "have you checked it's plugged in?"

I don't know, you 'techies' do know how to flower up an issue these days...

Right.....I've run SpyBot and it found nothing.
So I ran Antispy (Yahoo Toolbar)and it found:
tracking101.com
ppctracking.net
I remove it and it comes back
What next..I'm not a 'tekkie'

Sorry... in one of those moods!

Sounds like you have quite a 'clingy' bit of spy/mal ware going on, not sure if it's been mentioned but you could try Windows 'Defender' - download from here: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx tends to get rid of the muck on my laptop and the database is well supported as it's windows... updates automatically etc...

Give it a spin and good luck!

Before you allow CCleaner to do it's business go to Options > Cookies within CCleaner and tell it which Cookies not to clean - otherwise the above applies.

Did you try HijackThis and CWShredder?

It's small freeware that may hit a bit differently than the mainstream spyware.

CCleaner is also a registry cleaner via another button.

You don't happen to have a file called kmd151_en.exe on your PC somewhere?

As an off-chance, it might be worth trying: Free Virus Scan - Kaspersky Lab

Concur with Ccleaner, use it alot at work, does the job, and it's a free download! Also install Windows Defender aswell (can't hurt), it's also a freebie.
