I wonder if it will affect the residuals on performance cars?

Joking aside, depending on how long it goes on, it could well do. Ebay have been quoted as saying that something like 70% of the 4x4's that have been for sale have been from the london area, mainly due to the increased parking/congestion charges coming in, let alone the increases in VED.

just for one example on a new car, fancy £475 a month depreciation on the book price, let alone VAT and market conditions?? Go get a nice big VW Toureg Altitude.

I wonder if the central London residents have twigged yet that if they have one of the cars that drops into band G they will get no residents congestion charge discount from October, so it's £25 per weekday everytime they move it.

Anyway, today is polling day in London and this £25 CC alone should help remove Ken, but I'm not holding my breath, he's sneaked in before.

If they have residents parking rather than off road, it will cost them £25 per day (from October) even if they don't move it, that is up from the current £0.80 inc residents discount. From Oct, 225g/km and above cars loose the 90% residents discount.
