Maybe somebody was watching and sends up the bollards?

They have these near where I live. Each vehicle has a transponder and they are timed to stop anyone sneaking through behind.

A poor gentleman died recently when he crashed into the bollards. Because of the warnigns etc, insurance will not pay out, and also the driver is liable for repair costs to the bollard system. This chap crashed, got out, was informed by a passer by of the above, and had a heart attack because of the worry.

Crikey, who would have guessed that could have happened? Do you know if it happened on-scene or later at home worrying?

I have seen these near Peckham, and always wondered what would happen if one was hit... EDIT I was of course refering to cars, not the heart-attack!

I guess I'll stick to having arguments with shopping trolley bays and leave the bollards alone. 4 days without my car has now grown to 9!!!
