Crazy Civic Driver
Hi all, I was driving home on the M1 south from Rothwell yesterday, and I saw a Silver cloured Civic charging down the 3rd lane and after it had passed me I could see the car weaving in and out of all three lanes and not once did he/she indicate to change lanes. Bearing in mind that the motorway was busy this was not a wise way to drive. From some of the manouvres made that I could see the driver cut more than one person up and causing another to brake hard when he/she pulled out in front without indicating.
I do not see what is difficult about using ones mirrors and indicating correctly. Oh well rant over now |

As a friend of mine on traffic said to me (quite a few years ago), they will always exist and are generally uneducated, uneducatable or foreign.

One day by accident I happened to follow my neighbour (he drives an Audi 80) and noticed he didn't use indicator lights at all, after we arrived I just said smiling at him there's something wrong with his lights, he looked very surprised and told me they work just fine but he hardly ever uses them... well, just fine then!
PS, and he's not a taxi driver |

A1M southbound near Chester-le-street on Tuesday, I'm in the middle lane (left lane is the long slip road for Chester-le-street turn off), this BMW idiot moves from the left lane into my lane right in front of me without looking or indicating, I blast my girly horn then go past him and give him another good blast... his passenger gives me a one-finger-salute and then he gives me a two-finger-salute as if it's all my fault of course
As I always say, they all get their comeupence one day |

It's fair enough having speed cameras everywhere; but all you see is people slamming on their brakes just before they get to them and driving like an idiot all of the rest of the time!

I think that as well as an increase in police on the roads there needs to be a harsher penalty for the idiots caught using mobiles (hand held) while driving. I am an easy going sort of guy who lets people out at junctions etc, but whenever I see someone holding a mobile phone I just make a phone gesture and do not let them in.

I was once badly cut up by a guy in a Mercedes who was merrily talking away on his mobile at the time. After braking hard and hooting, I politely gestured to him that he should look a bit harder. He responded by giving me a one fingered salute.
A bit later on he overtook me whilst on a short stretch of dual carriageway before turning left at a roundabout into my local Tesco. As it happened I was actually on the way there with my dad to day a Saturday shop. So, after following him into the car park, I parked up next to him and calmly asked why he had responded in such a way (after all his mistake, coupled with the offence of making/receiving a telephone call) In my naivity, I thought he would apologise, but no, call it Napolean syndrome (as this chap was quite short in stature) the exact opposite occurred. Not only did he call me all of the names under the sun, but then threatened to put me and my elderly dad into hospital. Eventually he stormed off, but for a moment or two, it really was 50/50 as to whether he'd go for me or not. It still makes me angry thinking about it actually. I suppose I could have responded, even by scratching his car or something daft like that. But I just moved my car to another spot in the car park and did my shop. In the end I just thought to myself "well he has to go through each day living with the fact that he's an a**hole, which can't be easy" and I guess I learnt a lesson too i.e. what if the guy had had a weapon/really was a psycho? So, based on my experience, I'd advise against anyone reacting to such idiots. Just let them go and, as Federov wisely said "they'll get their comeupence one day" |

unfortunately these sort of people allways think that they are right and everyone else is wrong, it's never them that's at fault.

I witnessed 3 lads in a agrage a while ago (about 20 year olds) picking on a rather plump lad filling up a car. They were having a right go, foul language, threats etc, about him jumping in front of them, how they were going to 'do him'. He was very young, about 16. Next thing his Dad gets out of the drivers side, he's mid 40's, and calmly but firmly invites them all to have a go at him. All at once or 1 at a time he was not bothered. Their faces were a picture, almost a ripple of applause from the garage forecourt. He even invited them back to his yard, if they wanted a private session - absolute class. Needless to say the 3 amigo's declined his offer and slithered away. |

LoL, Karlak, must have been interesting to watch! As for my incident, well it was probably about the time when I thought Tony Blair might still be a decent bloke. As I said, you learn plenty of lessons in life!!
