Family Tree
Anyone thinking of creating their family tree, the younger you start the easier it will be. Don't leave it until your in your sixties like me.
Get as many birthdates & and also places of birth. Also, any aunts, get their maiden name too. Even if you don't want to start a tree now, if you compile a list ---- it will make it far easier later on. |

Funny you bring this up, as I'm about to start mine with my parents help at first, however I am currently trying to decide what is the best software for it, any pointers?

I joined genesreunited.co.uk , started the tree eighteen months ago, I left a message on the website, and recently had two replies, from both sides of my family.
So it makes it a bit easier when you have some help, and I've gained two cousins who I didn't know about. |

Yeah just be prepared for what you might uncover!!!!
I helped my mum last christmas..we spent hours and hours online searching the family tree...we found out there was an extra aunt that was born and disappeared...not dead....to make matters worse...another aunt from the same family was given the same birthday as the mystery aunt..........however on her birth certificate she was actually 4 years older than we believed...andthe wrong age is on her death certificate!!!!!!! Fortunatly we have found the whole experience absolutley hysterical....but be prepared for what you might find  |
