I have a civic 2.2 es and i have had and still got most of the problems everybody else has. I have just seen the new brochure for the new crv and as i now need a medium size 4x4 it has got everything i need spec wise(you name it its got it )
But after my civic would it work
I do not think i would never buy a new honda untill it has been tested properly
Honda are now using customers to do there job

I met up with a Honda Area Fleet manager this morning at work and he let me take his new CRV out for a 1/2hr spin.
Very well put together, quite conventional, very quiet.
It was a 2.2 diesel, manual 6 speed box.
I found 1st,2nd and 3rd gears low and close together with a gap to 4th,5th and 6th.
I felt the need to drop to 4th in 30mph limits, where I would have thought 5th would do; however the engine had 65miles on the clock.
Regards
Tony

Well that's a reasonable claim, but it doesn't handle like a Civic.

I was thinking of changing our Discovery for the new CR-V, but after seeing the styling of the front I am not sure any more. Maybe it's something we need to get used to like the rear of the Civic.

I've just got back from the 'States this morning, and saw a few of these 'New Model CRV's over there...like this.....

http://automobiles.honda.com/models/...delName=CR%2DV

And yes, the front really does look THAT bad 'in the flesh' too......

I agree its hard to get used to it, i don't think its bad, just different, overall the car looks quite 'mature', certainly has a butch element to it. And as TonyF says, better than the Cayenne, even with its facelift!

I would rather buy the American one. For the £11,000 it's a snip!

Oh no it hasn't got half the kit the UK models come with and it would be to much like hard work trying to match the spec

Even though it's going to cost me £££££

Wot £11,000 worth of kit! But I jest, however car prices in the UK are still too high.
