Summers here - help needed

Does anyone have any tips for removing last years burnt on barbecue residue off the grill. I put the BBQ back in the garage at the end of last summer and have just discovered I forgot to clean it. I was considering donating it to science for research into the lifeforms growing on it, but that would scupper the BBQ plans for tomorrow.

Do you think meguiars alloy wheel cleaner would do the job?

Worth a go, but for heaven's sake make sure it gets fully cleaned off

Washing up liquid always works for me. Leave it to soak in a while first.

Just light the BBQ and burn all the gunge off.

I thought about that Raegten, but figured the neighbourhood might need warning to shut windows and doors first!!
