Number Plates
The discussion on dealer stickers and plates got me thinking.
I have seen an increasing number of cars with italic fonts, abnormal spacing and even some 'bike' style 2 row plates on all kinds of cars, but mostly on those dreadful 'boy racer' monstrosities. The ones that tickle me are those who put a fake screw cap between or next to some characters, to turn an "11" into an "H" for instance. Do they know how stupid it looks and how illegal it is? BUT, what is really confusing me is that in recent months, I have seen more and more pale pink front plates on cars. Yes, pink. What makes it stranger is that the mostly seem to be on older cars with grewn men driving. Does anybody have any idea what is going on? Have I completely been left out of the latest trend in illegal plates? I just can't see why anybody whould change their white plate to a pink one! |

People should be very wary about 'doctoring' number plates as it could invalidate their insurance, or at least make them responsible for an accident, as it could be argued that they should not have been on the road.

I saw someone the other day who had a rear numberplate. It was the usual yellow, but with pink bunnies in the background & red numbers! I was shocked that anybody could get away with it.
Pale pink....I'm sure when I got a numberplate for my previous Pug from Halfords, it was pink! Yes...pink! The reason it was pink was to "inform" you that the light red protective peeling was still on the numberplate. I bet these guys have replaced their numberplate and not realised there's protective covering on them! |

The pink colour is actually the protective film which should have been peeled off before fitting!
