Bought it yesterday. All I can say for now is - Wow! Who knew playing tennis or bowling could be so much fun? I bought Wario Ware with the console, but I couldn't stop playing Wii Sports long enough to even try Wario.

After yesterday's session with Sports I'm going to buy another wiimote today to get more of my friends on the court at the same time.

Got it hooked up to the internet already and so far it's looking like a long trip down memory lane is imminent. I mean come on... who wouldn't want to play Super Mario Bros (the original one) at home with their brand new console?

This Wii sounds like fun, just concerned about the lack of games for it.

My 360 packed up last week but the shop I bought it from refused to repair it or replace it even though it's still in its first 12mths warranty, so I'm looking at buying the Wii as its a lot cheaper than a new 360 or a new PS3 but i can't decide.

Please help!!!!

The Wii is a great console, and a completely different experience to a 360 or PS3.
Although it appears there isn't a great deal of games available, it is backwardly compatible with the Game Cube, so Mario Kart Double Dash and Metroid Prime are available. Plus, with the Wii Virtual Console, classic N64, SNES and Mega Drive games can be downloaded.

Also, the big software companies have been caught out by the success of the Wii, but are now producing lots of new games for release in the near future.

We had to get ours from Ireland in may, when we got back there were loads over here but everywhere has sold out again.

If you get any game for the Wii, make sure it is Mario Party 8, its the best game ever!!!!

I love my Wii, i'm not a hardcore gamer so it is perfect for me

Its not a proper PS3 tho. Only for 2 USB posts instead of 4, doesn't have an SDcard slot and ISNT BACKWARDS COMPATABLE WITH PS2 GAMES!

My yougest lad, 13yrds old, bought his own Wii on release date, we pre-ordered it and the day we got home with it I looked on Ebay and they were going for over £500, I said to him "sell sell sell...profit profit profit!" but he wouldn't have none of it...and since then he has probably played with it for about 6hrs !
