Spelling mistakes - F7 doesn't always help
Having read Medicsources link to the NTL rant letter, I thought I would share this gem with you, just goes to show its better to have someone read the letter before you post it rather than rely on the spell check.
This is from a hotel inviting my boss to an open day for their conferencing services, I have only included an excerpt, I would not want to incriminate anyone. Holiday Inn.jpg |

Not exactly a spelling mistake, but a mistranslation. Quoted by Gerard Hoffnung and possibly apocryphal:
Our hotel has a French Widow in every bedroom, affording delightful prospects. (Ooh Err, Missus) Other failed attempts at English: In an Indian barbers - "Gentlemen's throats cut". In an Indian dress shop - "Ladies may have fits upstairs". On the instructions with an external hard disk drive "Do not be falling to floor or you will be damaging your mechanism". |
