Appreciate Left Hand Seat was probably a bit busy, but surely co could have told everyone. I'm sure I'd have had a coronary.

Not me doing the descent. In fact, the air conditioning fault was mild. A descent was a good idea and done in accordance with procedures, but the manual deployment of the masks was not actually needed and did cause a bit of undue unrest in the back. In the event of a real depressurisation, it is always better to focus on the safety of the aircraft first, rather than the state of the occupants pants. Better to have a bit of dirty washing, rather than a mass funeral!

Thanks for the reply.
Appreciate all that you say, but when you have no idea why suddenly you seem to heading towards Earth rather quickly, it really is terryfying.
It is like sitting in the back of a Type R / 2.2 190 with blindfolds on, whilst someone you dont know drives it at max.
I'm sure it would be so much better if we could all see you up the front all calm and composed!

ps Will need some new stickers soon.

Indeed, when there's time then there will always be a PA. Sometimes there's a bit of work to be done, and that will come first. And you should hear what a PA sounds like when we are wearing oxygen masks - the passengers will think that Darth Vader has taken control!!

haha!
I'm flying tomorrow morning and was almost scared for a second.
I understand why the people would be scared; but as Pottsy said, what are the pilots supposed to do?
And sounded like a screw loose under the wing, haha; oh dear!

I fly a lot and I would prefer the pilot working on the problem, not chatting with me. Especially if he sounded like "Luke I am your father".

The Evening Standard even managed to get a picture of the Easyjet Airbus A319 whilst it was in this death dive to certain DOOM. (One for the spotters )
If you look closely in the 13th window from the front you can see the nun with a guitar, 14 windows further back in the sick little girl and 20 windows further back is a frightened old lady.
If you look very very carefully in the cockpit you can just about see 'Otto' the automatic pilot trying to save the plane crashing into the ground at 1000000mph.

The full non biased, honest, trustworthy, accurate and non-sensational report can be found here

Thanks for providing the link Pottsy. I did have a read and a chuckle!
Do you run that site as well. Looks very similar in set up!
My father (Tail end Charlie) in a Lancaster for the last three years of WW2, constantly laughs at my expense. Listening to some of his stories I admit, leaves me feeling somewhat in awe, not only of him but of the countless thousands of other flyers.
Still don't like it!

I would like to think you could identify a picture of your office when compared to next doors.
