This E-petitions is a good idea in theory. If only the Prime Minister took note of the results. Pay as you go driving petition got to 2million signatories and still Tony said they were going to look to implement it!!!

I suppose there is a small chance Mr Tax, sorry, I mean Mr Brown, will be a little more sensible!!! But I seriously doubt it!

Why do people think it is funny to use these things for stupidity, for a start you do not petition the PM to appoint another, neither should Jeremy Clarkson be let near No. 10, taking the p**s out of such services risks rendering them useless as before too long people start to only put spoof petitions on there and the government shut the site, mind you, if they take no notice I guess it doesn't matter.

If you look at the site, you would see that most of the silly ones get refused. That means that someone at No.10 found the Petition funny and allowed it through! I think that its a fantastic resource that we should all use.
So stop moaning and sign the ones that matter to us all !

No need to apologise Richie - you have a valid point - with which I totally agree. All for a good bit of humour, but Downing Street site is not the right place for it.
