i've managed to get mine doing the basics (connected to all my computers and saving files in raid one) but i'm struggling with setting up to get the best from it. Are you using all the features and what model do you have? cheers

I have a DS1511+ with 5x 2TB drives running in RAID5 (~7.5TB useable), used for storage of everything.

All my docs are on it, with the important stuff synching to online 'cloud' backup. It streams TV to an XBMC box and all my music via the iTunes server. The gf has all her photography and art work backed up on it too. Got a couple if iSCSI disks for VM's too!

Great bit of kit, more expensive than building your own NAS but it's basically maintenance free. I deal with IT 8hrs a day and this just works which is worth the money.

Also added sabnzbd & sickbeard so it grabs all my TV eps automatically

I have the 211j. I'm not really using other features - I just manually store my media and important files on it and use it to stream to a wd tv live.

Have a play with them all, if you don't know what they are just google them. Best thing is if they don't do something you can just turn them off again
