The B52 was able to land easier in a crosswind, because it could adjust the under -carriages straight ahead, even though the aircraft was 'crabbing'.

Some of them looked like test flight landings in the Boeing 777.

I think keeping track of who is where on a giant round slab of tarmac is a bit of a difficulty...
At least in the pre-technology days.

Anyway, they say that in the future, there will only be a pilot and a dog in the cockpit.

The pilots job being to feed the dog, and the dogs job being to make sure the pilot doesn´t touch any of the controls!
