Not seen one in the flesh (so to speak) but I have to admit to quite liking it (even considering it) when I first saw in online. It'd have to be the top spec though. And I definately prefer the civic

I walked past one and it did still shount "standard Mondeo".
But I agree that the instrumentation of the top of the line models looks good on the ´net. Also some optionional toys like tires pressure monitors I like.

Anyone know what an "EX spec" Mondeo will set you back?
For comparison - I am not considering it.

A TITANIUM is £18,445, and a TITANIUM X is £21,000.

Its not worth telling you about anything lower than those two models, because they're not very nice or good.....

In my mind, the best buy would be the Titanium - it comes with tons of goodies including the cool 'FordConvers+' display.

Cheap and cheerful I suppose.
307 and Civic with the same equipment have the same price. You will have a better reduction on the catalogue price with the Peugeot here in France, And I think the Megane Renault is a little bit more expensive. If You buy a C4, Catalogue price is higher but you will get a huge price reduction (could be more than 15%)... French car magazine are still saying that French car have the best handling and confort, that the Engines are great and the equipment at the top ! They have only one things to be measured with : German cars and specially VW cars.... in term of quality !!!! That the goal they want to reach !!!

I saw the new Mondeo at Geneva earlier this year. IMO it was OK, but nothing special. At the end of the day, it's a Mondeo and It WILL sell well.

The new Vectra when it arrives, will be big competition.

I've had a couple of Mondeos and I thought they were good cars, especially for a family (well, all the bits and pieces you have to carry when you have kids) or carrying 3m floorboards!
Downsized to a Civic a few years ago.
They have some features that should have been on this Civic, such as keyless ignition! Paint was better too!

Trouble with Mondeo's and Vectra's and the like is the huge depreciation.

Just pray that in 2 years' time there will be a cross section of both badges taken up.

A company I worked for a long time ago had a two-badge policy - Ford and Vauxhall at the time that you could get a Sierra (which everyone hated). They also had a policy that ALL cars had to be white (even the MD's Merc convertible and the Sales Director's Porche).

The result was a multi-storey company car park full of white Cavaliers!

I took to parking in the same spot every day, even though it meant going to the top floor when I got in early. This was the only way I stood any chance of finding my car.
