It is alright - but I have never owned a Ford
and don't ever see myself owning one Think the New Accord will beat the Mondeo hands down when it comes out next year ( at least it should) I love Honda's |

I think it looks great, seen a few on the road over the last few days, it's subtle and attractive. I get put off with the thought that in 3years they will be everywhere.

I like it, even tho it's very conservative in the styling dept! The interior is OK, but nothing can come close to the Civ's dash.
Loads of new models coming in that class..... Laguna, Vectra, C5, Sebring (Chrysler) ect. So Honda need to come up with something special ith the new Accord! Last edited by Bog; 9th August 2007 at 00:14. |

No doubt the Mondeo has been several years in the design stage.
I wonder at what point when they saw the new Civic and knew a new Accord was on the way did they realise that they may be outclassed. Assuming of course that the Accord follows the Civic theme on the inside. |

Honda and Ford are not competing in the same category. Ford is a world mass production company. Honda is a brilliant "small" car producer as was BMW in the 70' ... So they can be more innovative, they don't have to satisfied the maximum of people. And don't forget it there are a lot of people who buy the same brand as they parents bought

I know that "anything goes" in the non-Civic section - but FORD!!
That must be violating the no-bad-language rule. The software should take care of this so that you cannot say **** ******. And the Civic is one of few (at least some Volvo models being another) that have the satnav where I want it - up near the windscreen. Last edited by FWH; 9th August 2007 at 09:36. |

Some car adverts seem silly.
The one for the C4 as an example. You don't actually get to see the car much but a morphed 'transformer' running around. Mind you, looking at the C4 that's probably not a bad idea...... |

But aren't Peugeot, Renault and Citroen still being made ?
I assume you mean the older models ? When I see the news reports about Iran & Iraq it amazes me to see so many 1970's/80's Passats(Iraq) and Hillman Hunters(Iran) |

True
They don't have very good quality reputation but people still keep buying them in their thousands! Cheap and cheerful I suppose. |

As a Ford owner now (ST-3), I feel I can comment from the other side of the fence.....
I think, for what it's worth, the regular new shape Mondeo's look a bit crap, BUT the top of the line, Titanium X with Sports pack looks absolutely stunning - and a good start for what the Mondeo ST should look like...... Oh, and having test driven one already, I can also confirm that the 'HMI' in the middle of the dash is awesome!!!!! - like this - http://www.ford.co.uk/safari/allnewm...7_tech/-/-/-/- |
