Here's a wee ditty from about the early 1970s that you might enjoy -
YouTube - The Corries Sunday Driver it's still pretty much true today.  Just replace Morris Minor with Nissan Micra ......  Anyone remember the stick-on bullet holes for your window? A freebie from Texaco if memory serves.... |

That was good.
And still applies all these years later as you say. Another old favourite of mine, which I havent been able to find on YouTube, is a Russ Abbot "singing sketch" about the Motorway Magicians - the road workers "who turn three lanes into one". |
