Replacement MOT

Would anyone be able to advise me please...

I have a cherished number which I wish to remove ready for the next car, but have misplaced my MOT!

Is it possible to obtain a duplicate without putting the car through another test?
Would I have to go through the garage which carried it out?

I believe they are all stored electronically, I think the garage who carried out the test might be able to help.

Yep, the garage that did the test should be able to replace it for a small fee.

I thought you could print off an online record of it - Its all computerized now.

Hi, this is quote from Your MOT certificate : Directgov - Motoring

Replacing lost or damaged MOT certificates
If you have lost or damaged your certificate, you can get a duplicate from any MOT testing station.
You’ll need to provide the vehicle registration mark and either the original MOT test number, or V5C document reference number - this can be found on the registration certificate (V5C).
The maximum fee for a duplicate certificate for a car is £10.
